I’ve been using my new 3D printer for less than 2 weeks and I’m already blown away by the quality of prints.

It used to be that 300 dollars would only buy me filament but with this machine, you get a great product at an affordable price point! There are just one or two things I have noticed about it so far.

Pros

The Da Vinci Jr 3D printer is one of the most user-friendly printers on the market. It has a simple interface and an auto-calibration system which makes it easier for even children to use with ease. The prints that come out from this machine are some of the best I’ve seen, especially at lower layer heights like 0.1mm or higher like 0.4mm!

The Da Vinci Jr 3D printer is a great option for those who want to experience the benefits of this new technology without breaking their budget. With its quiet operation, it’s perfect for any bedroom or home office space where noise would be an issue.

Cons

Let’s face it, we live in the 21st century where people can buy ALL types of filament. There are many different brands to choose from and yet one company is limiting us to only using their type? The Da Vinci Jr 3D printer has a big problem with this limitation which I feel needs fixing as soon as possible!

– The sound can sometimes be clunky or dragging when printing. This doesn’t seem to affect quality though as I still get excellent prints every time!

– Sometimes navigating through menus feels sluggish with some slow response times which takes getting used too but overall they are pretty intuitive so not a huge downside for me personally although this may depend on individual preference

Let me preface this review by saying that I’ve been 3D printing for several years now and have gone through a few different models. The other two printers in my collection are the FlashForge Creator (wood-framed model) and BigBox Pro, but none of them compare to the quality or ease-of-use aspects of XYZ Da Vinci Mini!

The XYZ Da Vinci Mini w seemed like a great device for the small parts PLA necessary in my office. The 5.9”² build area was perfect and not only did it take up less machine time, but also had an unmatched finish to other printers I have seen before such as one of my FlashForge Creator which is unfinished wood!

What I like the most about this machine is that out of the box, right away, you have everything you need to be printing stuff. While this doesn’t let you turn it on and scroll through a menu on an LCD before hitting “print”; instead, there’s no assembly needed for anything “clicking” together with ease – then plugging in your printer will start up XYZWare automatically from your computer without any extra input!

After using this machine for over 130 hours, I have not experienced a single clog or major error. The XYZWare software is what makes it easy to work with right out of the box and Windows Builder supports it too!

Overall my experience has been positive – even though at first I had some mechanical headaches getting used to the design, now that there are no issues anymore its definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an upgradable 3D printer kit.
