When this happens, you&rsquo;ll have two choices: either repair it or alter the wiring so there is less stress on these delicate cables. We&rsquo;ve experienced this earlier rather than later due to how much printing we do with our device- but luckily for us, both options work well!<\/p>\n<p>The side placement of the SD port on this printer is inconvenient, to say the least. The hole for it is 2 times too big and it&rsquo;s recessed into a part inaccessible by your hand which means you could accidentally drop an SD card inside while trying to plug in one! I carefully pulled them out through a hole in between where my build platform is and then used some tape to secure it down on that underside of the bed again which was really easy because there were already holes drilled into edges so they fit perfectly. For reinforcement around this rubber bushing (the hardware store didn&rsquo;t have any tubing), I got from $1 at Walmart, cut off one end about an inch long with scissors &ndash; just enough space for four turns before meeting itself back together again-then threaded both ends onto each other more than once until you can see threads coming out evenly on either side.<\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"B\"><\/span>B<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>Instead of printing the demo model, you should let it print one layer or two and then cancel. There&rsquo;s a good chance that there might be an issue with your extruder height as this is where I had mine set incorrectly the first time around (hence why I suspect the other problem). Secondly, don&rsquo;t do what I did &ndash; start off by doing something silly like making cat art&hellip;though admittedly they were some cute cats!<\/p>\n<p>This printer was a joy to use once I got it set up! It&rsquo;s about half the size of my previous one, so space is no longer an issue. The prints from this machine turned out fantastic and were high quality for most things- except when you experiment with anything other than what came on the settings in CURA- since then they can come out terrible looking or just not work at all. So far though, overall it&rsquo;s been great! This printer comes out of the box, but in order to get reliably successful prints, you will need to modify the gcode for bed leveling which can be difficult if you&rsquo;re unfamiliar with it. Additionally, make sure you have a micro SD reader before buying this item because I didn&rsquo;t have one so I had to download Cura separately just for my mini delta 3D Printer! For most printers that would probably work fine without any extra downloads or modifications needed. However, there are no other compatible options by default on this device (which makes sense).<\/p>\n<p>When you buy a printer, it&rsquo;s important to know what kind of environment it&rsquo;s going into. If you&rsquo;re printing in an office space where there is often noise and distractions, then maybe this printer isn&rsquo;t for you- but if that doesn&rsquo;t bother your workflow or lifestyle at all (like my style) then the Monoprice 121666 Mini Delta Printer might just be perfect! I love how well lit it is on the inside without any harsh light bulbs surrounding me as some other printers have had; plus with so many different filament colors available my prints look more vibrant than ever before! It&rsquo;s a little hard to understand how there is no power switch, and the preheat time takes forever! The print bed doesn&rsquo;t even seem capable of reaching 60 degrees Celsius- I had it at 80 when trying to fix my problem in heating up that filament last week but then one day following it just didn&rsquo;t heat back up again. Temperatures also fluctuate by as much as 5&deg;C which may have something to do with the supply voltage or firmware (more investigation on my part!)<\/p>\n<p>I was very doubtful when I first tried printing with my new 3D printer. It seemed that the print bed adhesion would never work, but as it turns out there is a simple solution to this problem!
